My Name is Maxine Brock, but I go by Maxie. I am an aspiring broadcast journalist from Williamson, West Virginia. I am currently attending West Virginia University as a Journalism major with a minor in marketing. My expected graduation date is December 2027.

I have experience as a correspondent for WVU's student-led newspaper, The Daily Athenaeum, and as a newscaster and reporter for WVU's student-led radio station, U92 The Moose, where I have developed strong skills in interviewing, scriptwriting, on-air delivery, and AP Style writing. I am experienced in social media and video editing. I am always willing to expand my knowledge and will jump at any opportunity to try something new!

I am particularly interested in broadcast and multimedia storytelling, with a focus on local and community-based reporting. I plan to pursue my career in journalism in my home state of West Virginia, hoping to strengthen local broadcast newsrooms facing a shortage of journalists.
